Good Saturday to all!
Definitely a post that is highly anticipated after receiving so much feedback on Instagram with regards to my gown fittings at Z wedding ๐
So if you’ve followed me long enough, Ezra and I registered our marriage in October at Sheraton hotel’s outdoor waterfall ( refer to my older post for more pix). We wanted it to be cosy and intimate hence our special day only consisted of our immediate family members. The whole wedding turned out better than expected and all of us had such an incredible time with so much laughter and tears of joy! Haha I know many of you thought the wedding was just that. Little do you know, we’re actually throwing a banquet at The Fullerton Hotel in December to celebrate our love ( once more!) with not just family but friends as well โค๏ธ
The popular question being thrown to me here is –
How the hell did you plan two weddings??
Yes, my Husband and I didn’t engage any wedding planner and practically did all the vendor researching in the midst of our busy flying schedule.
Not to be boastful of our awesome (duh!!) researches, I DO have my bridezilla moments and Gosh……. I pity my Husband. Haha!! Almost every other night, he hears no ends to my 101 complains and frustrations.
YES GUYS.
Besides all the excitement, blissfulness and just so incredibly in love feeling… there WILL be days when you’re exhausted, angry and just down right loose hope on all wedding related stuff. It can get pretty overwhelming.
Which brings me to the topic to –
Picking out the right bridal studio
With the above said, this would cause you ONE LESS headache to your overwhelming list of plannings and to dos for your wedding. I can assure you so!
I’m collaborating with Z Wedding for a pre wedding photoshoot with non other than famous in-house Chris Ling Photography!
So before I explain why I feel picking out the RIGHT bridal studio is crucial… here are a couple of pix from Chris Ling’s Photography by Jacky!
Just to clarify, I’m wearing the latest 2018 wedding gowns specially designed by Z wedding โค๏ธ๐
Needless to say, their exquisite details on their bridal gowns are very eye catching!!
So yes, when deciding on THE perfect bridal studio for myself, I noted a couple of points which I am fussy or had to think about:
1. Gown designs/selections
2. Photographer. Pre wedding and/or actual day?
3. Makeup artist. Bridal studio/ source my own?
4. Package details
I didn’t use any bridal package for my solemnisation as it was a small affair and didn’t have the time to find one ( we planned it in 2 months). However… now with the banquet taking place, with not just more people but definitely grander, I realised the time and energy ( and $) to go ala carte was just way way way beyond me.
Cost is definitely the biggest factor for most bride to beโs and going ala carte doesnโt necessarily means saving money. If youโre strong willed and can stick to your main objectives than good for you! I for one, am easily swayed by social mediaโs #wedding on both Pinterest and Instagram. With our initial 4 figure Budget… it slowly blew up to a 5 figure! Imagine the look on my husbandโs face every time I showed him a particular branded gown I liked or popular photographer which I pleaded to get. ๐๐๐
Just a gauge, my solemnization was such a simple affair and Iโve scaled down on most unnecessary items. We still chalked up a good 6k just for that evening!
Bridal shops like Z wedding is akin to a one stop shop whereby almost HALF of your wedding planning is a done deal. No more( or should I say less) bridezilla moments!
Aside from their awesome photography by Chris ling, they’ve got a pretty good set of Makeup artists in store! I was assigned to Vincent on my gown fitting day and his nimble fingers transformed me into a Disney princess ๐ฏ
Vincent crafted for me 2 hairdo’s + natural makeup which I was madly in love with. My curls were voluminous and he took less than 15 mins on each hairstyle. I was super impressed!
Being a makeup junkie myself, I’ve been wrecking my brains to go for either the full glam or soft glam look. Vincent gave me an effortless yet comfortable makeup.. almost like my every day kinda look. He used a champagne colour for my inner corners + shimmery brown shadow to line my eyes. For an ethereal finish, he lined my lips with a glossy pale pink lipstick to complete the look! Now, I’m convinced that Brides do not need to go all out for the makeup.
All in all as you can tell, Z Wedding is no doubt one of the leading bridal studio’s in Singapore!
I would confidently say I’m in pretty good hands with Z Wedding’s team. They pride themselves to not only provide a luxurious bespoke gown experience but also work alongside with a first class photography team by Chris Ling and a set of professional Makeup artists.
Ultimately, weddings are suppose to be a joyous occasion so why do we have to deal with all the unnecessary stress?
Truly thankful to the team of Z wedding for making my experience hassle-free but most importantly with my best interest at heart.
The team that made a beautiful version of myself that day ๐
